2019 Winnipeg Social in Kelowna

Last year we raised almost $7,000.00 for Prostate Cancer Programs in Kelowna that helped support a 20/20 Support Group Conference, Reef Knot Kits for newly diagnosed patients, print resources and the expansion of Kelowna’s Prostate Cancer’s Supportive Care Program.

Way to go!

Let’s top that! Plans are now in full swing for the 5th Annual Winnipeg Social in Kelowna.  This year’s event promises to be bigger and better than ever! For starters we’ve booked a larger venue (Parkinson Recreation Centre just off Harvey) with better sight lines to the stage, better bar service, more room to mingle and plenty of parking for everyone.

Julie Masi was back in the studio last February 2019 to re-record Parachute Club’s iconic anthem “Rise Up” for charity.

Warner Music Canada partnered with Parachute Club member Lorraine Segato and Slaight Music in celebrating the 35th anniversary of “Rise Up” by releasing a newly recorded contemporary pop version of the song. The release of “Rise Up” is meant to empower a new generation of youth activists to take a stand and make a difference in the world. All proceeds from this single will be directed towards the RiseUp Share Your Power Initiative.
